Dear CUSD #2 Families,
The Serena United Methodist Church will be offering fresh produce through its Cooperative Garden/Fresh Produce Pantry again this season. Our overall mission is to provide substance to Community Unit #2 families in need.
This year, the pantry will be open inside the south entrance of the Serena United Methodist Church on Rte. 52, in Serena. Please use the ramp entrance on the south side of the building to enter the pantry.
The Fresh Produce Pantry will be open from 9 am - 3 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.
There will be a variety of fresh vegetables each week as soon as the harvest season begins. You can also find information and updates within the pantry as the gardening season progresses. As a reminder, Bear Necessities is also available every third Saturday of the month, 10 am - Noon, at the Serena United Methodist Church. Families are eligible to receive products from the pantry by using their LINK card. Each family will receive laundry detergent, toilet paper, bath soap, toothpaste, dish soap & shampoo. Breakfast and fellowship will be included on those Saturdays, and the Fresh Produce Pantry will be open if vegetables are available.

Estimadas familias de CUSD #2,
La Iglesia Metodista Unida de Serena ofrecerá nuevamente productos frescos a través de su Jardín Cooperativo/Despensa de Productos Frescos esta temporada. Nuestra misión general es brindar sustancia a las familias necesitadas de la Unidad Comunitaria #2.
Este año, la despensa estará abierta dentro de la entrada sur de la Iglesia Metodista Unida Serena en la Ruta. 52, en Serena. Use la entrada de la rampa en el lado sur del edificio para entrar a la despensa. La despensa de productos frescos estará abierta de 9 am a 3 pm los martes y viernes.
Habrá una variedad de vegetales frescos cada semana tan pronto como comience la temporada de cosecha. También puede encontrar información y actualizaciones en la despensa a medida que avanza la temporada de jardinería. Como recordatorio, Bear Necessities también está disponible cada tercer sábado del mes, de 10 a. m. a mediodía, en la Iglesia Metodista Unida de Serena. Las familias son elegibles para recibir productos de la despensa usando su tarjeta LINK. Cada familia recibirá detergente para la ropa, papel higiénico, jabón de baño, pasta de dientes, jabón para platos y champú. El desayuno y el compañerismo estarán incluidos esos sábados, y la despensa de productos frescos estará abierta si hay verduras disponibles.
