14 SMS students attended the Solo & Ensemble Festival on Saturday, April 11. Cori Larson & Reagan Cantlin received a Division 1 rating on their snare duet. Kolby Mahler & Zayne Dunn received a Division 1 rating on their snare duet. Peyton Gentenman received a Division 1 rating on her clarinet solo. Faith Miller received a Division 1 rating on her flute solo. Michael Jameson received a Division 1 rating on his tuba solo. Warren Young received a Division 1 rating on his trumpet solo. James Troutman received a Division 1 rating on his saxophone solo. Estephanny Sotelo and Peyton Genteman received a Division 1 rating on their clarinet duet. Genna Cody and Estephanny Sotelo received a Division 1 rating on their trombone/clarinet duet. Nick Pitstick received a Division 1 rating on his duet with a student from Sandwich. Congratulations to all!

The Mobile Dairy, along with Louise, the Jersey Dairy Cow, visited SMS yesterday! The instructor talked to the students about: ✏️Characteristics + anatomy of dairy cows ✏️Importance of dairy foods for good health ✏️Milking process ✏️Environmental + food safety practices The students also observed the milking process!
